Chicago for me is not too bad but I see where you’re coming from. James wanted to better the family but Florida wouldn’t allow it. She couldn’t stand to see the family happy and in a better situation. She didn’t even want to hear James out but she wanted him to understand where she was coming from when she wanted to go back to high school. And Wilona running her mouth and gossiping to Florida and telling her that untrue bull about chicks going down and “entertaining” the male workers down at the pipeline in Alaska made it no better. I would not feel safe and protected around gangsters, thugs, thieves, hood rats, and god knows what else. Shootings and killings were probably witnessed a lot so The Evans were not in the best situation. And on top on that, they were living in a ran down, cramped ghetto, poor and struggling with piling bills and had to constantly eat instant oatmeal that was often hard, lumpy, and burnt every day for breakfast just to survive. Seriously, what did Florida see in the ghetto?
