The one where Beaver nickles and dimes Ward for his needs, so Ward asks him to make a budget.

I never spent that much money growing up. Did you?

No way. And by the 8th grade it's really odd for a kid to not have an allowance already.

Also they really showed Beaver's lack of maturity in that episode. Wally even warned him about the overspending but he was too busy sailin' to Billy Baxter.

He's on retainer to supply the "hip" tunes for made-for-TV renditions of what fedora wearing adults think teens listened to in the early 60s.

The adults frowned on Beatle haircuts as they went on to the next Percy Faith or Ray Conniff record.

I resemble that remark! :)

My mother must have worn the stylus of the H-fi out many times over playing her Ray Conniff ( and the singers! ) albums daily from the mid 60s through the 70s.

Jack Jones too as I remember.

Parents are such squares......

I knew I heard Percy Faith's name before, but could not place it after "discovering" the song Summer Place.

This kind of music isn't THAT bad, but I could see Margaret and June listening to this.

Spent a lot on baseball cards, sports equipment. But, still added to my savings account. Enjoyed watching my savings grow. Also my beloved bank book the teller would stamp the transaction information on. Sometimes her lines were crooked.

Your right - I forgot they had an episode about trading stamps, the boys vs the girls ... were the S&H ?

The girls wanted a sewing machine for making groovy clothes and the boys wanted a row boat. They ended up with a tv for the main room that they could all enjoy.
