State the vaule or values of "k" if any, for which the given polynomial is a trinomial sqaure.

p to the second power + kp +100

Thanks. :)

umm *thinks* well wouldn't it be like

kp to the third +100? Cause you can't add kp to 100 cause it's not of the same kind..ugh...er..erm..wait Jenny don't like erm..but I don't think that's right I dunno I'mc onfuzzeled now. All in one post too.

All in one post too. You can't add P to the second and kp because P doesn't have an exponent. And the question asks for values of "k..."

And yes... I don't like "erm." ;)

I didn't think you could have a trinomial square? *shrugs* Perhaps it has no value?

Okay.. Got the answer. :D

p to the second power + kp + 100
Sqaure root of p to the second = p
square root of 100 = 10
p*2*10 = kp

So, k= 20.

That, my friend, is why I do not take Greek as an elective!

Ya know, I used to actually know how to do problems like that. How easily we forget...

I wasn't even close. I like tried to factor something and make it equal 0....Don't mind me. I suck.

I hope I don't offend anybody with this question. What the hell kind of math is that?!

You can tell I was such a slacker in high school. I took all the easy Math classes, so I'm really a ditz when it comes to harder math. lol
