It was funny how Ross Shafer got a kick out of Miss Shafer (related?) speaking 'rich' and her saying that she HAD to. But she did so even in her earliest movie roles so it seems likely she'd grown up with that patrician accent (unlike Carrie Fisher using that fake British accent for the first part of 'Star Wars' ).

They're probably not related. The host's name is Ross Shafer, and Mrs. Howell is Natalie Schafer.

Ross Shafer was a local (Seattle) star before he made it to the national stage. A talented guy - he should've had a better career.

I remember watching this when it originally aired. Good timing for this reunion as cast members started dying soon afterwards. Jim Backus was the first, he died about a year later.
