In conjunction with the launch of Paramount+, more information about the future of Star Trek was made available. Most notably, that J.J. Abrams Bad Robot; the production company that helped run Star Wars into ground, and that is hard at work tanking both DC and The Lord of The Rings, is back in the Star Trek mix. Since they ended Star Trek’s reign as a viable theatrical franchise the last time they worked on it, the next batch of movies will by all accounts be exclusive to Paramount+.
