Seasons 1 and 2 are the best seasons of the series. Seasons 3 to 5 are good and still enjoyable. These are the Dick York years. Seasons 6 to 8 are a mixed bag. These are the Dick Sargent years. Just watch Bewitched and enjoy. I have favorites in all the seasons but prefer the Dick York years. I have the first two years in both B&W and color.

To me the funniest episode in the early years (maybe the whole series) is "Double Tate", from the second season, I think.

To delay the real Larry from coming into the Tate house, Samantha has him entering but being outside again. The whole episode is hilarious.

Funny. I always thought they hit their stride in season 3. I like seasons 1 and 2 and maybe it's due to season 3 being the first color season too but I thought just about all of those episodes in 1966-67 were hits.

Season's one through five are great. Then Darrin left, and things kind of fell apart. Seasons six through eight have a few good episodes, but most of the good stuff are while Dick York is still healthy enough to perform.

The only drawback for me from the first couple of seasons is the dowdy outfits for Elizabeth Montgomery. Things cut loose later on and she has some very sexy looks. Otherwise I agree those were great seasons. Alice Pearce is phenomenal as Gladys Kravitz. Also I like Irene Vernon as Louise Tate, I visit her old hometown in Indiana nearly every day.

Boy, it seemed like their wardrobe budget was almost nothing during that first season. She wore the same things over and over. Maybe it had something to do with her being pregnant, but otherwise you're thinking, "is that the only thing she has to wear?"

They had some sort of agreement with PFC for Elizabeth Montgomery's clothes in season 1. I read somewhere they even had a statue of her at the office, but honestly I don't think their clothes were all that great on the show.

Now you need to watch "Tabitha" starring Lisa Hartman. It's totally not in line with Bewitched (history and age-wise), but it has a certain 1970s charm.

Though no one could have replaced the great Dick York in the role of Darrin, I wish the producers had gotten actor Ray Fulmer to play Darrin when York left. Fulmer looked a lot like York and he did a good job in Season 5 of Hazel.

He was a poor replacement for Don DeFore there and would have been a poor replacement for Dick York as well.
