Did country singer Ricky Van Shelton die? Because Mom and I were looking at Youtube videos and saw tributes to Ricky Van Shelton featured which tells me that he's no longer living. I know Ricky Van Shelton was a big star in country music during the 80's and was currently retired but I didn't know if he had an illness or not. Ricky Van Shelton was an amazing star and he could do country covers with ease

I have always loved his music. No, he is not dead just retired. I wish he would come out of retirement. These days, according to his website, "Ricky spends time flying his airplane, working on his 150-acre farm, gardening, repairing his collection of classic cars and antiquing."

Ricky Van will be 70 on his next birthday which is in January.

Ricky Van Shelton is in fact alive after all? Because Mom and I were seeing country videos on Youtube and she thought Ricky died but i'm happy to see him alive and enjoying retirement. Mom started liking Ricky Van Shelton when she heard him sing Statue Of A Fool which Jack Greene originally sang then David Ruffin did a R&B cover of it and she thought Ricky sang nice. If Ricky Van Shelton did make a comeback I bet he would rename himself Rick Van Shelton
