View Full Version : Is anyone suffering from the heat? Artist162002 07-08-2002, 04:29 PM Like are you getting headaches or are more roaches coming out or something? Kay Scarpetta 07-08-2002, 04:41 PM Nope.....I'm sitting in my nice, cold, central-air conditioned house. Or I'll just jump in my pool :D Mossopp 07-08-2002, 04:42 PM Heat? Are you kidding?! The Scottish summer has been awful so far this year. We've had, like, 2 sunny days in the past month! It was so cold last night that I went to bed with a sweater on!! It was insufferable; now air conditioning and no tv or Internet!!! ks 07-08-2002, 05:45 PM The heat is making me incredibly tired and doing weird things to my appetite. I can't wait for winter to hurry up and get here. DJM77 07-08-2002, 08:30 PM Yesterday I thought I was going to pass out. It was 97 degrees outside and I had a softball game. I always take a 32 oz gatorade with me when I play softball and I usually don't finish it untill the end of the game but yesterday I finished it about half way through the game. I was sweating like crazy and I started breathing heavy. I got into a teammates cooler and drank 3 of those koolaid bursts things. When the game was over I went home and fell asleep. I woke up two hours later and I was still sweating. I've had heat strokes before in my life and the last thing I need is another one. It doesn't help that I work in an unairconditioned factory. I just need to remember to drink plenty and spend as much time in front of a fan as I can. britt britt 07-08-2002, 08:47 PM last week the weather was real hot but this weekend we had really crummy weather, but saturday wasn't bad. dawsongirl 07-08-2002, 09:12 PM Ugh... I'm throughly enjoying the midwestern humidity. I was in Kansas City over the weekend and it was like 98 with 70 something dew point. All you had to do was stand outside for a minute and you lost half the water in your body. I don't know how long it lasted, though...because it was out for about an hour, and then we left to go out of town. It went out once before that for like 2 seconds (I was talking to Chris online) and then later it went out again. NO INTERNET!!!!! I was freaking out. vienna waits 07-08-2002, 11:49 PM No I don't go outside very often on these hot days so nope heat isnt getting to me. I haven't been eating as much (not that it's a bad thing) and I have NO energy whatsoever. I slept most of the day yesterday and almost fell asleep on the way home today...and I was driving! lol ks 07-09-2002, 12:24 AM Originally posted by Maura Tierney Yep, me too.
