Until tonight I had assumed all Santas wore red when they were playing him. On the season finale of All Creatures Great and Small, Siegfried wore a festive green outfit as Santa Claus/Father Christmas when he was hosting the children's party. Took me by surprise but I consider it an improvement. And it was a good shade of green, not something tacky like avocado green. :lol:

Yeah! I have seen Santa wearing a green suit too , I think this past Christmas was the first time!?;) I thought it was kind of neat!:cool: Not sure if I like it better than the red? More used to the red and more traditional, but the green was nice for a change! Maybe he could alternate colors!? :)

Yeah, I ended up voting for red ! ;)Santa in red is traditional! The green looks nice on him and I love green clothing but being there wasn't a third choice / alternate red with green Santa suits, I went with keeping Santa traditional in his red suit !:)

Yes, it is traditional, but I do like green a lot, and it totally suits Santa. Call me a person of bad taste, but I prefer green.

No, not at all ! You are not a person of bad taste! Green is a beautiful color ! I actually personally like green better than red! You should look in my closet . I have much more green clothing than red ! Just given the two choices , I chose red for Santa ! As I said before , a shame there wasn't a third option : Both/ Alternate red and green Santa suits ! ;):D

Green is a great color but I think Santa looks best in the traditional red suit. Red for Santa, Green for Santa's elves.

Some old postcards show Santa in purple.I think this originated in Turkey. He was thin. I prefer him red:)
