Specifically, the ones (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_All_in_the_Family_episodes) that focused on Mike? Do you agree with the notion that he could be as sexist (https://screenrant.com/all-in-the-family-times-mike-stivic-was-right-wrong/) as Archie could be racist?

I remember when they first brought the Stephanie character on. It was a big change and it really surprised me. Years later, I could better understand why they did it.

I think the Edith character always needed to have Mike & Gloria nearby or someone in the house aside from Archie, or things were too sad for her. She was really broken up when Mike, Gloria, and Joey eventually left town.

Anyway, I thought it was pretty good writing to have Mike & Gloria move into the former Jeffersons' house; the storyline of their getting it was memorable. I think too it was an easy decision by the producers, because they didn't have to bother casting any "all-new" neighbors for the Bunkers...!

I think the Lorenzo's were a fine replacement for the Jeffersons. Instead of race, it was women that terrified Archie. However it did not last very long before the Lorenzo's left the show. The show was definitely better with the Jeffersons next door. The show sort of jumped the shark with the kids moved into the Jefferson's house. It was hit or miss for awhile but the Lorenzo's added a brief new life for that season. After that is when the wheels started coming off.

Season 1 of Archie Bunkers place was much better than season 9 of All in the Family

Probably because it wasn't pretending to be AITF.

It had its own vibe, established in the first episode, where Jean Stapleton did not appear (she was only billed for the five episodes she appeared in that season) and the character of Murray was established.

CBS would never allow a name change like that these days.

If this was happening now, the show would have continued to be titled All In The Family. Branding is a corporate thing now and a name change wouldn't even be considered.

Just look at Two And A Half Men and Mom, two shows that kept their titles after the lead actors left.

Johnny be good!

ABC would though, and they did in the case of The Conners.

The only season 9 episode I will watch again is when Louise Jefferson makes a guest appearance

That was a different case.

They wanted to distance themselves from Roseanne (and I don't blame them) and you really can't have a show called Roseanne without the title character.

I think "Dead Roseanne" would have been a cool title.

;)
