In episode 8 of season 4, Sheldon continues to cope with his philosophy class and can hardly muster the strength to get out of bed. They had a scene ending last week where mom was trying to get him up and then had to call George to the bedroom. They replayed that tonight on the intro with the usual "Previously on Young Sheldon" lead-in....and then mom was nowhere to be found the rest of the show. Granted, it's getting harder and harder within this show to get airtime as most episodes are about 17 minutes now. I guess it's asking a lot for the entire cast to contribute to a so-called "half hour" show when it runs 17 minutes. After all, you have to get in medical ads for cancer treatment and all of the CBS show plugs as well for the guy who needs a kidney transplant and the new Silence of the Lambs TV version so that's VERY important. But I at least thought that mommy would show up at some point in the festivities. I was wrong.

I know they're having issues with the shooting schedule with the virus interruptions so can I just assume that even when the show does shoot that there's problems getting everyone to the studio to shoot? Maybe that explains Zoe's absence? Anyone else got anything on this? What else ya got?

i also thought there were crazy amounts of commercials. 17 minutes of a show? shameful

^^^ I second that. Back in the 90's, shows would go as long as 22 or 23 minutes.

God bless you always!!!

This may end up becoming a recurring thread. Zoe had a scene coming out of the kitchen and asked Georgie if he was watching himself on TV, she then asked "why" and then on the tape he said "curls get the girls" and Mary grunted and walked off. She was later seen in bed (but not heard) when Linkletter called for Sheldon in the middle of the night. That was the extent of her on this episode. Something rotten in the state of Mary/Zoe. Not sure what it is, but it's a thing now as far as I'm concerned.

There is a clause in shows that only the headline star is allowed to be on all the episodes.
