I was listening to music and found Julian Lennon and I often wondered why he was never as popular as his dad was and I'm surprised that Julian Lennon released a comeback album because he seemed to be popular in the 80's when he had the song Much Too Late For Goodbyes from the album Valotte. Did Julian Lennon hope to carry on his father's legacy and follow in John Lennon's footsteps?

Just my opinion, of course, but I'm not sure there is a symmetrical curve between talent, and fame. The old man was part of something very magical....is addition to being quite talented.

While junior never got to be an integral part of the cutting edge of a wave sweeping the biggest consumer economy on the planet.

So, to listen to the kid and say "hey, this is pretty good, why didn't he dominate the industry like the old "block"? I don't believe there is a productive conclusion to that line of thinking.

Plus, sorta like Bonham's kid, or Zappa's kid, or even Sinatra's kids, while they will definitely enjoy a benefit of the doubt from the adoring fans of the progenitor, they never will quite get out from under the shadow, either.
