Just watched that case again. Any updates on that case. I wanted to kick that guys ass for not reporting the crime to police. He should of least let his partner call it in.
The friend for unknown reasons to me seemed a little creepy to me.

Unfortunately, I don't see this one ever being solved simply because as far as I know no physical evidence remains. Crystal was cremated and nothing in the way of DNA or fingerprints was gathered from the scene of her death, mostly due to a botched investigation.
Of course there is always the chance the authorities were right about natural causes, but my gut feeling has always been she was murdered and we will probably never know the truth due to much time passing before the discovery of her body. And this was in 1988, right before forensics technology really took off where you could tell many things even from badly decomposed bodies.
Although one interesting tidbit I did learn recently is Anton Klein, Crystal's boyfriend at the time did link a former highway patrolman named Horace McKenna to her death. Apparently he was the one who taunted him about bad things happening to bad girls, although I can't recall what his connection with Crystal was. McKenna as far as I know was the closest thing to a suspect in the case, and he's been dead since 1989 making it even less likely we will know the truth.
Could just be one of those cases where justice was served in another way even if the police, the legal system, and Crystal's neighbors failed. It gets everyone in the end.

Yeah he should have and he probably feels guilt about it to this day. However, he was not the one who murdered Crystal so let's work on putting the blame where it belongs- on the perp- and not on the witness.
This sort of attitude is actually what contributes to people not reporting crime.
