So sorry!:( Is it because of the Covid? IDK how unemployment works in Canada?, but hoping he is able to collect unemployment till he is able to get another job!

Good luck to him, hoping he is only out of work a short time and can find another job soon and in the meantime be able to get the money from unemployment ! ;)

I lost my job too due to covid so it has been really tough on me but I am going to stay strong and get through it and your boyfriend will too
