They could also take the 11:00am slot and run it for an 1hr block. Bet they will eventually work Scooby Doo into that slot.

I won't be surprised if Scooby Doo comes to MeTV in the near future.

I may not be a fortune teller but my prediction about METV adding The Jetsons was right. It's finally good to see METV add another Hanna-Barbera favorite and The Jetsons will be a fun fit. Now is it gonna shown during weekday mornings or is it gonna be shown on weekend mornings as well?

1 episode at 11:30. Probably because there are only a season's worth of episodes.

So The Jetsons will replace one of The Flintstones episodes? You would think that METV would've replaced The Brady Bunch with an hour of The Jetsons and that would've been smart of METV to do

Sadly THE JETSONS will not be seen in the NY/NJ metro area because WJLP/Middletown NJ has a horrible weekend one hour political program called "Jersey Matters" which airs Saturdays at 5PM and repeats Sunday at 11:00AM.

So No Jetsons in the number one market and ADI (Area Of Dominant Influence). could hurt ratings.

Thank you, I was hopeful that they would move the Sunday 11AM repeat, I think they want their local NJ political news show to air around the same time that all three networks air similar programs.

Unfortunately they couldn't move the program to 9AM covering up the E/I Saved By The Bell hours.

As a former Program director in my real life career, I tried to figure where to move their local show which has been in production since WJLP became the metro affiliate. The only slot I came up with was 10AM, since the first hour of The Flintstones and episodes have gone through many cycles and the 6PM airings continue.

Of course I wish they would just have the one airing, but they seem committed to "Jersey Matters" even though it isn't quite as hard hitting, but that is opinion.

Also on a subject not found here, WJLP recently launched a news channel called NJ News Network, it has no carriage except over the air, but "Jersey Matters" should be moved to the new news channel as it was always odd to have the program air between The Flintstones & The Brady Bunch! LOL

Would be kind of funny that a "serious" NJ issues program gets cancelled or moved and replaced by The Jetsons!

I have the dvd's but just hate to see a new acquisition not be shown, as you know, that is why that small graphic disclaimer appears in every MeTV promo saying "On Most MeTV Stations".

From what I have read here from others around the country, many more series get pre-empted nightly, and i think i read a post where "Toon In With Me" even gets pre-empted somewhere for morning news.

I think it was that "Toon In With Me" gets pre-empted in Boston.

WTHR here pre-empts some MeTV in early morning on weekends, for their news. When Tom and Jerry started, they were pre-empting a half hour of it to carry NBC (???). I checked today and to their credit, they now carry the whole hour. It must have looked schlocky to join a cartoon in progress at 8:30.

I have the new Jetsons Blu-Ray but haven't watched it yet (previous go-to was the complete episodes recorded from Comcast On-Demand years ago). I'll be watching Jet Screamer on MeTV next week!

I noticed Jean Vander Pyl in the credits. I guess she was the voice of Rosie and Spaceley's wife. And Mel Blanc, I guess was anyone else besides the principals.

Vander Pyl was all over the place in those times. Live roles in Beaver and a lot of animation voice work.

Just looked up Penny Singleton and she died in 2003 at age 95.

At last the long anticipated debut of The Jetsons is here on METV and I was amazed how crisp and colorful METV's version of The Jetsons was and it is much better than the DVD versions of The Jetsons and that makes it fun to see. It was especially fun to see the debut of Rosie The Robot and I felt bad for Rosie when she decided to leave but she realized that Jane and George couldn't function without her. I can say METV did a very smart choice in adding The Jetsons and I hope it's successful for them. Only drawback is why didn't they show a second episode because The Jetsons would be better to see than The Brady Bunch

IMHO A Date with Jet Screamer is the pinnacle of Hanna-Barbera house style. None better.

Just out of curiosity, how is MeTV doing as far as edits with this show? Because it's obvious from the time it's from it'd have to be edited down for commercials so I want to know how the edits are. I have the complete series on DVD so am not watching MeTV's broadcasts.

It was a great ep. I totally remembered Lectronimo , I had forgotten his name though ! ? But I remember this episode, I watched it with a friend when I was a little girl and I was rooting for Astro and she liked Lectronimo , said he was neat !! I wasn't aware, I didn't remember the whole ep though, I wasn't aware that it was Astro's debut episode !;)
