It finally all came out in the latest episode! “Roseanne’s” Dan was a homophobic bigot and he’s now so jealous that Chick and Anne-Marie are getting a happy ending he can’t stand it.

I personally think Chuck and Anne-Marie should have gotten a spin-off when AM first started appearing on “Roseanne”.

Notice that AM never appears on “the Conners”?

The last ep dealt with racism, not homophobia. I think they did a realistic job of portraying the inner racism of a person who would never consider themselves racist. I will say that the subplot with Darlene and her new assistant was over the top.

No, I know that. But Dan was a racist, homophobe, misogynist, etc., in the original “Roseanne”. His character has been greatly whitewashed in the “Conners”.

I liked when Chuck told Dan, “You never saved twenty dollars a week for forty years.”

Chuck was calling him out on his frivolous spending....
