"My Three Sons" S7, Ep2 "Fly Away Home" was very interesting. Steve and family visit his old hometown. Yep Mayberry. At least some shots. Taylors home, Foleys, downtown building with pillar kids sit in front of. Only is so so episode, but lots of fun.

Yep, I recognized Andy's front facade. Right, not what you'd call one of the better episodes of M3S.

Thanks for putting an enjoyable bent onto this episode!! I notice they even had one of the old character actors from TAGS (Irene Tedrow) play a role in the M3S episode
It would have been a hoot had they featured someone such as Hal Smith, even if only as background "dressing"

Ann McCrea, as the younger sister Betty in that episode, in real life was a quite a bit younger than Virginia Grey and Fred MacMurray at the time:
Fred MacMurray - Steve: 57/58
Virginia Grey - Ellen: 49
Ann McCrea - Betty: 35
Dave Willock - Ed, Ellen's husband: 56/57
Ann and also young Pamelyn Ferdin, Charles Herbert, and Eddie Rosson from this episode all made appearances on the Fedderson sister series Family Affair. Rosson was only 38 when he died (1956-1994).
And what visit to the old hometown would be complete without an appearance by Burt Mustin, who also popped up in M3S Season 10 when Robbie visited his former home, Bryant Park...?

Dave Willock was terrific in his 9 "Green Acres" appearances. I especially remember him as the switchboard repairman when Eddie Albert ran the phone company.

Always good to get a glimpse of 40 Acres.
