I hope it's OK to place this here.

I went into a hip replacement over 10 yrs ago to be better and 10 yrs later worse off than ever. So many issues from this Major Surgery, and MOST are elective on our parts.

The groin pain is gone, but omg all the surgery complications.

My whole right side of body is a mess from waist to toes.

Did this at 72 and I'm a few months over 82. My walker is my best friend as I get 2 more legs to walk with. Was not my plan, but how it's all come out.

So sorry to hear this, Caroline!

I am too young to have any bionic parts, but I know eventually, it will happen...

It does NOT have to happen as I know so much more today than I did 10 yrs ago. Elective surgery is from the dinosaur age as one MD here talks...He does Regenerative Medicine, which is Prolotherapy, PRP and Stem Cells. If one has the money, this is the avenue to go first of all. I had some Prolo in my shoulder about 12 yrs ago and got some really good relief.

But I trusted that the hip replacement would come out good but it did NOT. And we live with metal and plastic in our bodies and the fear is always there that we will need revisions etc. That a movement of some kind will cause things to mess up.
