1988 marked a milestone for 7Up as one of my favorite flavors of 7Up made it's debut. Cherry 7Up first hit the market and to help market it well a series of commercials were made. The commercials were done in black and white and were geared to the cool crowd and featured people dressed in cool 80's clothing while Cherry 7Up had a slogan which referred to it's pink Shirley Temple like coloring. Cherry 7Up's commercials were some of the most well done commercials of the 80's and are a neat look at nostalgia. Another fun fact about these commercials is that the guy in the first commercial is Friends star Matt LeBlanc and boy was he cute in a motorcycle jacket

I remember those commercials. Even though the commercials were in black and white mostly, they somehow were able to have pink colored articles of clothing on some of the people in the commercials, I've always wondered how they did that. And they had a cool song to go with them, part of the lyrics were, Isn't it cool in pink? Isn't it cool to drink? and so on. :)

Cherry 7-up is awesome, and I remember Matt LeBlanc in them. The "Isn't it Cool in Pink" song was a rip-off of "Every Breath You Take", but it was a very cool song.
