Just wondering because it ran at the same time as Here's Lucy or The Lucy Show & she's such a sitcom icon.

I think so too. It was whimsical but clean humor. I know she didn’t like blue humor or innuendo injected too much in a show. Three’s Company stopped just short of that.

Yeah, Lucille wasn't very fond of All in the family at all!:p She liked good old fashioned wholesome "corny" comedy better !!:D Even though Three's company was a little more risqué than the 50's and 60's sitcoms, you are right, it never went too overboard /got too controversial !!;)

Three's Company was Lucille Ball's favorite show! That's why she hosted the 2 episode retrospective on the show & invited John to be on "Life with Lucy".

Oddly enough, Lucy did NOT seem to leave behind any record of any opinion on this show despite the facts that she co-starred in 'Easy Living' (1949) with Jim Backus (but I don't think they shared any scenes together so I'm not sure whether they ever actually met ) and that Nathalie Shafer played the proprietress of the 'The Charm School' (1954).

Moreover, Alan Hale, Jr. did make a post-Gilligan appearance on 'Here's Lucy' playing a very Skipper-esque character but, if she told him what she thought of his iconic show, he kept it to himself.

Oh, and she liked to tell the tale that her own fillings picked up a secret Japanese spy radio station (which has never been confirmed) but despite the fact Gilligan had something similar happen on the show, even that wasn't enough to evidently elicit comment from her.
