I was somewhat surprised over the extent to which Ward became agitated in today's episode when he thought the boys had squandered their bank deposits on frivolous desires. This was an early season in the show's run. Did Ward grown more composed as the show ran into later seasons? The memory in the back of my head that I have for Ward is one of patient (if often "baiting") understanding. Today he appeared on the brink of losing it.
I also found it odd that the boys were able to withdraw money from their bank accounts at the school. The old banking account I had set up through school, was "deposit only" as far as transactions on the school grounds were concerned. We were required to deal with the bank direct for withdrawls.
But then if that was the case for the Cleaver boys then I guess Mrs Rayburn wouldn't have been able to snitch them off.....
