View Full Version : Personal Likes & Dislikes of the Characters and Actors...?
biffbronson 01-27-2021, 07:46 AM What are some of the things the characters and actors of M3S were known to like or dislike?
Robbie: Disliked custard
Fred MacMurray: Liked hard-boiled eggs
stevea 01-27-2021, 11:06 AM What was it Steve told Polly that Chip was allergic to? I remember the scene but can't remember what it was.
When it comes to dislikes of people, Dodie didn't like Alfred, and young Ernie didn't like a girl, maybe her named was Verna Mae Rittenhouse.
biffbronson 01-27-2021, 02:47 PM Can't recall Chip's allergy, although didn't Polly inadvertently cause his food poisoning once?
Tina Cole: Likes German Pancakes (and makes them herself!)
Chip: Liked to collect rocks (as a young child)
stevea 01-27-2021, 08:52 PM Can't recall Chip's allergy, although didn't Polly inadvertently cause his food poisoning once?
Same episode. She cooked him something that Steve told Polly he was allergic to as a child. But I can't remember what it was.
biffbronson 02-02-2021, 07:56 AM William Frawley (Bub): liked New York Yankees baseball games
biffbronson 03-10-2021, 02:52 PM Eleanor Audley (Mrs. Vincent, Barbara's mother): Liked open-style shoes or sandals.
Hazel Anyday 03-10-2021, 11:10 PM Bub liked his dog hair toupee that Chip bought him.
Charlie liked the sea.
Steve likes his sax.
Rob liked his own music, he may have been the only one though.
Chip liked saying "Man, Polly".
Ernie liked getting his buck teeth straightened, I liked him better before.
Mike liked psychology which he must have passed on to Rob and to Ernie as they both continued the amateur psycho-iatrist analysis of everyone around them.
Katie liked looking hot.
Tramp liked to jump around and jumping his girlfriend.
Barbara liked Dodie.
Dodie liked Myrtle and her chubby friend.
I've run out of cast.
stevea 03-10-2021, 11:37 PM Steve must have really liked the Wongs to make up all those lies about having no plans when the Wongs visited Calif.
The Wongs had different kids depending on the episode.
Barbara liked her teaching.
Chip also liked saying, Man, wow, Polly. Polly liked saying, Let's elope.
biffbronson 03-11-2021, 12:09 PM Robbie liked Anderson's Porch. And the folks at Anderson's Porch liked HIM so much, they relocated from Bryant Park to California when the Douglases did...!
biffbronson 05-27-2022, 07:00 AM Ernie liked cookies and frequently raided the cookie jar.
Don Grady liked the rock group Steely Dan.
stevea 05-27-2022, 10:37 AM Sudsy liked Bub's act, once he sang Carolina in the Morning.
Re the thing I couldn't remember Chip being allergic to: I watched the beginning of that episode, The Bride Went Home, on Youtube--Chip was allergic to beans/lentils when he was small, according to Steve. Polly then said she had been feeding him a beans and hamburger dish every night.
paul.austin 05-31-2022, 09:26 AM "Dodie liked... her chubby friend."
Dodie: "I like that you are big, Margaret Spencer. Imagine your chi-chis in a few years. You'll have boys falling over you!"
biffbronson 05-31-2022, 10:12 AM Hey Margaret, I think your old crush Ernie is hot for that Chinese chick Lisa Wong, even though she dissed him. Anyway, it's party time!

Chocolate Moose 05-31-2022, 11:16 AM I have no idea. But in Lotsa Luck, I know the characters really ate the food and the kitchen crew was amazed at how much they could go through, with take after take.
paul.austin 05-31-2022, 08:11 PM Poor Victoria! She had to play the fat girl Buffy Davis turned into a proper lady on FA as well. Had she not been 4 years too young, she'd probably have been destined to be Molly Weber on The Brady Bunch too.
biffbronson 03-14-2024, 06:25 PM Bump
I once sent a message to the lady who had played "Molly Webber" on The Brady Bunch, and she sent me a thoughtful reply.
Here are a couple more M3S cast "likes" --
Tina Cole has stated the only celebrity she ever "fell for" was John Lennon. At other times, she has said Lennon AND Robert Redford.
Tim Considine of course was a major car and racing enthusiast, having written noteworthy books on LeMans and other aspects.
