I figure this is the closest we'll get to a watch-along...

(The sticky says FilmRise and Official UM links are ok - https://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?t=234830)

I'm watching S6E14:

This one has the Andre Jones case. I admit that reflexively I am skeptical of any claim that a black man hung himself in his jail cell in the South. I wasn't there, so I guess this could be that one case out of thousands that was a legit suicide.

But I also know that, although the jailers may get criticism/investigations/lawsuits when this happens, history shows there's no real consequences for this form of murder 99%-100% of the time.

I have finally finished all 12 seasons of the original Stack episodes and am now going back and restarting from season 1. I've noticed how more animated Stack was in the early seasons and how the cinematography was so much better on the earlier seasons.

I agree, the cinematography in the early seasons (especially the first season) made the cases much more intriguing to watch.

As I remarked on another thread, the last couple of seasons actually have some really interesting stories on them....but the obvious budget cuts (shot on video instead of film, bland soundstages with a bare minimum of actors instead of actual locations with dozens of period costumed extras, generic music) and sad decline of an ageing Robert Stack make them a bit depressing to watch.

Right now I'm watching the Tyler aka Paul Beale Amnesia case from Season 4, Episode 3.

What did I notice?

When the Detective from Boulder City, Nevada's speaking to the Camera there's a Missing Poster for Jacob Wetterling behind him with a $200,000 Reward.

While watching season 6 episode 1 I noticed they sped up the intro music and it wasn't as good
