I'm watching it right now.
If you're watching it for the first time, it's really scary. Well actually i've seen it more than once and it's still scary.

Epstein: I refuse to speak on the grounds it may incinerate me.

Chico: It's not my job.
Ed Brown: Ed Brown's Garage, home of the dirty mural.

It's an attempted rape, she escapes and runs next door.

This episode was very, very good. When it was funny, it was VERY funny, and when it was scary, you almost couldn't take it anymore. I found this episode was much scarier then the one where Gloria was almost raped.

I think this was a VERY good episode- Maybe even Jean Stapleton's and Sally Struther's best.

I found myself feeling Edith's pain, I so badly wanted to turn the channel, and even once I did. It was really scary.

I think this was one of Jean Stapleton's and Sally Struthers best performances. There was some great mother-daughter moments.

Even years later, that episode still gets to me. The part where Edith escapes and the audience is cheering always brings tears to my eyes.

It's a very painful episode. Once is enough for me too.

This is one of the most-memorable episodes of the series. I am very surprised this season is not on dvd yet. I think it will be a big seller because of this episode. It is scary but it's also one of Jean Stapleton's finest performances of the series. Even though the subject is heavy, it leaves you feeling good about her character at the end of the 2-parter. She feels like she has lost her power and has to regain it which she does with Gloria's help.
