The Peacock comedy will return for another 10-episode season. “I’m thrilled that Saved by the Bell has been renewed,” said executive producer Tracey Wigfield, who created the reboot, in a statement. “I’ve been blown away by all the love for the show and can’t wait to go back and make more episodes. Hopefully we stay on Peacock for many more seasons, and then in 30 years, somebody does a reboot of our reboot and invents the threeboot.” Saved by the Bell is the No. 1 show on Peacock and the second show to be renewed, following A.P. Bio.

Josie Totah says she's been instrumental in making sure Saved by the Bell's Seasson 2 writers' room is more inclusive (https://toofab.com/2021/02/24/josie-totah-saved-by-the-bell-season-2/)

"It's authentic and I'm so grateful that our showrunner and creator Tracey Wigfield gave me this role and this position to be creative, but also to make sure that we're telling our stories authentically and accurately," says Totah, adding: "I'm so beyond proud that we actually have hired this season several other Latinx writers and also an incredible trans writer, which I'm very excited about."

Wigfield will still try to look forward to include Leanna Creel as Tori Scott to fill in the spot and replace where both deceased actor Dustin Diamond and Screech Powers used to be.

Saved by the Bell's Lark Voorhies reunites with Tiffani Thiessen and Elizabeth Berkely at Bayside High (https://www.etonline.com/lark-voorhies-back-on-saved-by-the-bell-revival-see-the-pic-172597)

Voorhies is apparently filming on the second season of Peacock's Saved by the Bell revival, according to Berkley's Instagram post (https://www.instagram.com/p/CUF4U1ePcvD/) this morning. "These ladies… what a gift to get to work together again," wrote Berkley. "We have a special history that is beyond… we worked hard together as kids to make a show that people still love, we did high school together and our parents all looked out for us too as we were minors when we started. It was a safe place to grow up and now we get to take those sweet roots and fly together as women. Don’t you love those connections that have history where you just get right to it with no explaining? It’s so comforting and we can’t wait to share some magic with you when season 2 comes out !"

The ableisms should be almost finished on both resolving and eliminating right now. But if there are any adultisms that cannot be both resolved and eliminated at all, then there can be additional emergency they might insist of bringing actress Samantha Becker as Maria Lopez back as a recurring adult guest only, just in case. If that works, then her lines as a recurring guest will be in a rebooted position, TBH, IMO.

Saved by the Bell reboot's Season 2 will have a "substantial" tribute to Dustin Diamond and his character Screech (https://variety.com/2021/tv/features/saved-by-the-bell-season-2-dustin-diamond-tribute-1235092749/)

Executive producer Franco Bario, who also produced the original series, tells Variety he spoke with Diamond ahead of the Season 1 premiere to “fill him in on the Screech mentions in the first season and how those may lead us to possible stories that would include him in Season 2.” After Diamond’s passing on Feb. 3, Bario and showrunner Tracey Wigfield knew they had to do something substantial to celebrate him as an actor and Screech as a character in the second season instead. “I didn’t know him and I hadn’t met him,” says Wigfield. But “just thinking about it as a fan, I knew we wanted to do more than just putting a picture of him up at the end.” As a result, original cast members Elizabeth Berkley Lauren, Mario Lopez, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Tiffani Thiessen and Lark Voorhies all agreed to do a scene that would have them remembering Diamond and Screech. “At the beginning of this season, we already were coming into writing Season 2 (where) obviously Dustin was one thing, but we also were like in a pandemic and in general in the first episode, everyone was feeling the same sense of everyone understands how heavy this last year has been,” says Wigfield. “It would have been wrong to not acknowledge that in a real way and to not have our OG characters mourning this character that we’ll never get to see again. That, I wanted to put on the screen, but I just wanted to make sure we were being as sensitive as possible. There was a real guy who had people who loved him. You don’t want to make any jokes or talk about it in any way that might hurt anyone’s feelings.”

^^^ Thanks for the news. I haven't watched any of the new show yet. Now I don't know if I ever will. Screech was my favorite. Its not fair that he doesn't get to be a part of the show like everyone else.

God bless you and his family always!!!

Yeah, he's more connected to deceased former original SBTB creator Sam Bobrick than his castmates, you should know that. But the other person that should join Mark, Mario, Tiffani, Elizabeth and Lark is Leanna Creel, who plays Tori Scott, to also pay tribute to Dustin Diamond.

So far, this sitcom is trying to continuously cut down more on mental ableisms, but it might have a hard time cutting down more on adultisms. If adultisms cutdown cannot speed up, then there can a chance that we may need, as in emergency reasonably, actress Samantha Becker to guest appear in this revived sitcom as Maria Lopez recurringly, TBH, IMO.

To me, a great way to keep Screech around is if his robot named Kevin was shown in whatever way an appearance from him can be done.

God bless you always!!!

Saved by the Bell is still very funny in Season 2, but it struggles balancing "whatever the hell it’s supposed to be" (https://www.avclub.com/a-very-funny-saved-by-the-bell-still-can-t-figure-out-i-1848093808)

"It’s hard not to watch and wonder, over and over, who it’s for," says Lisa Weidenfeld of the Peacock revival series. "Is it for aging millennials with fond memories of watching the original in reruns as a kid? Or is it for the teens of today, who are possibly less invested in what happened to Joss Whedon, whose travails are mentioned? These questions are a sign of how much this SBTB functions as a show with earnest teen-oriented plots run through a machine of ’90s and early ’00s references. By far, the characters that suffer most from this framing are the returning members of the original show. The actors are endearingly game, but the show leans on them too much in the second season, and they’re the most likely to be stranded with overly sincere plotlines. Worse, they’re stuck with the impossible juggling act of landing storylines about what it’s like to be middle-aged and still obsessed with your high school years, while simultaneously apologizing for the shortcomings of the original series and being semi-cognizant that they lived in a sitcom. It’s an emotional spectrum that often proves shaky territory, although it does offer the hilarity of A.C. Slater (Mario Lopez), incredibly disturbed, trying to piece together whether or not he had a mom, since the original show only ever mentioned his dad. But too often it means the wacky hijinks get stopped to build a slow-burn reunion romance between Jessie Spano (Elizabeth Berkley Lauren) and Slater. It’s hard to get invested in storylines like this when it means time away from Mac’s ability to bend space and time, or from a sweet exploration of one character’s first same-sex romance." ALSO: Elizabeth Berkley Lauren calls the Showgirls shout-out "a sort of healing, because comedy can help you reclaim a narrative of sorts.” (https://tvline.com/2021/11/24/saved-by-the-bell-elizabeth-berkley-showgirls-interview-video/)

They still need both Leena Creel (Tori Scott) and Samantha Esteban (Maria Lopez) to return to this show as recurring guests in a few episodes of this revived sitcom sometime in the future, first of all, TBH, IMO...
