This is for really super-big FOL geeks who get excited over stats like how many times characters' names are said in episodes---like me.

I thought this would be really interesting. I'm not saying people should get on board with this like the line counting thread, but at least for me, I think this is fun.

I decided to take a look at Cindy's biggest episodes of season 1. Here are the results of how many times the characters' names are said---or not said!

(Note: When a character's name is said just one time by more than one character in unison, like if the girls all say "Good morning, Mr. Bradley!" together, I count that as one instance)

UPDATE:

All episodes will go here chronologically:

Cool, Eighty. I'm surprised Blair is named only 2 times in TROMG. And poor Nancy wasn't even mentioned in Running

Anyway, why Cindy has 38.5 in Running?

Nope! They totally "Nancied" her in R! Even Roger got 5 mentions, and he's not on the show!

Lol, because in the scene where Natalie and Roger's girlfriend ;) go to see Cindy in the gym and Cindy turns around facing them while jumping rope, when Natalie tries to get closer but the jump rope keeps flapping at her she goes, "Ci--Cindy, either let me in or cut it out!!"

Wouldn't that be 0.4, since there are five letters in her name?

Well it could be "Ci" or "Cin" with a soft "n", so I averaged it out. ;)

(Also, that image is huge! Do we need to see every pore on Nancy's face?) ;)

It's funny seeing the modern-day NBC peacock in association with classic 1980 FOL.

I know :happyface:lol:. That's the first pic I've find on Google where she looks directly into the camera and smiles

Haha, very cute amico mio!

Sadly, that's probably what she was thinking that whole summer! Gosh, I never thought about that before...starring in a backdoor pilot for a new series, the series getting picked up, and going to bed on those summer nights daydreaming about your new show where you are the new STAR for NBC---only for that not to happen! Ouch!

Yeah, poor Felice. I think she had the worst treatment, the producers made her the star of the pilot, then they gave her 6-7 lines, then put her on a recurring basis and then she was gone for good.

Now that the name counts are in for the 1979 episodes, we have Miss Mahoney's name said a total of 16 times on the show: "Miss Mahoney" 15 times, and "Emily" but once.

Interestingly enough, her name is said the most in "Like Mother, Like Daughter", a whopping 6 times.

But i would have thought that MRS G and BLAIR had about the same amount of lines: they spent quite a lot of time together on this episode lol!

This is the name count thread, counting how many times a chars name is mentioned, not line count. ;)

Thanks Lorsie! lol Yeah valentina, the "Name counts" thread is for how many times a character's name is spoken in an episode.
