Why was the 2001 The Facts of Life Reunion not included in the box set?

I don't think it's even available on DVD.

I remember this was discussed on Shout's website when they announced the complete series set was coming. They weren't able to get the rights to the reunion movie. Probably because it's part of the Disney movies that aired on Sunday nights back in the day. According to FOL-FAN-ITA, the movie is released on DVD in Italy. I don't know if I would ever buy it if it was released here. It's an awful follow up to a great series. It wasn't really much of a reunion.

Because the 2001 movie was owned by Disney, not Sony.

Yes, here in Italy we have the reunion movie on VHS and DVD. I'm not a huge fan of that movie, I bought it just to complete my collection

Now that i know 'Reunion 2001' doesn't exist on DVD (except in Italy) makes me desperately want to own it! isn't that crazy???
I remember watching it only once on You tube, but that was before they stopped showing all the FOL episodes (which now can only be watched on Daily Motion)

I wonder if there's ever gonna be a chance that Disney+ adds the movie to their streaming service. We can only hope. The only way I can watch it is on YouTube.
