It's my second time through the series (1-4) and by the time I get to the second season, I find myself enjoying her a little more.

I warmed up to her the second I saw her.

She is a cute little kid early on. Lauren Chapin is a good little actress. All three of them are, except Elinor Donahue really plays Betty ditzy in the first season. They probably coached her to tone that down as time went on, and changed the scripts, too.

They gave Kathy some funny lines. In a first season episode Jim was irritated with her when she broke a guy's window, and he parked in front of the house where she re-enacted it (breaking another window). A cop gave him a ticket for blocking a driveway, and she ended up on the witness stand. She was sworn to tell the truth, and said, "I'll be in trouble if I do."

Another good episode for her (but kind of a silly script) had her trading her doll to a friend, for the other girl's baby sister. She did some good acting in that episode, particularly near the end when she finally admitted she knew better.

Kitten is my favorite of all the kids!:);)
