BUZZR had a post on their Facebook page that 25 Words or Less will be joining their lineup on January 18. While I have defended 25 Words or Less before as it is better than a lot of the first-run syndicated talk shows and judge shows, it does NOT belong on a retro game show network. Bad move! ohno:

When It comes to Match Game(Baldwin), Celebrity Name Game, Family Feud(Anderson & Karn) and 25 Words or Less, they’re all way too new for Buzzr. Temptation was the other newer modern show that BUZZR haved aired but it don’t have what it takes to be inserted into BUZZR’s lineup.

Depending on the show, I wouldn't mind a few early 2000s game shows coming to BUZZR. Unlike the scripted side where comedies had a freefall, there were still several great game shows at the start of the 21st century with Greed, the Anne Robinson version of US Weakest Link, and Regis Philbin's primetime Millionaire. Those plus the Richard Karn Family Feud I wouldn't be opposed to on BUZZR, but not something really dumb like Deal or No Deal or the syndicated version of Millionaire. But something current like 25 Words, no way too soon.

25 Words Or Less coming to Buzzr is a complete shock because it's only been on since 2019 in syndication but my guess is Buzzr is desperate to expand the lineup and they think that reruns of new game shows are a winner. Do you remember when Buzzr added reruns of Celebrity Name Game after it was cancelled and it failed? If Buzzr thinks that 25 Words Or Less reruns will be a hit I can guarantee it won't last long. What's next to follow for Buzzr? Possibly Leslie Jones's Supermarket Sweep will be added to their lineup

"BUZZR fans, an update on our schedule this month. We were excited to bring 25 Words Or Less to our network starting Jan. 18th. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we will no longer be adding it to our lineup. Thank you!"

And now Buzzr has decided to lie to fans about 25 Words Or Less being added to it's lineup. I think why Buzzr did not add 25 Words Or Less to it's lineup is because that they thought it was too new for the channel when Buzzr's traditional lineup is mostly retro game shows from the 70's and 80's and even little 90's game shows. I think Buzzr is now gonna call itself The Peter And The Wolf channel because if you remember in the story of Peter And The Wolf when Peter claimed that there was a wolf in the woods attacking him but nobody saw it and the people accused Peter of lying and never wanted to talk to him about it. And that is who Buzzr CEO Rick Gankler reminds me of and anyone knows when networks add reruns of game shows they use promotional ads that tell the truth about when the game show reruns will begin airing soon. If Buzzr pulls another Peter And The Wolf like lie about new reruns of game shows coming to their lineup I can guarantee Buzzr will go belly up and this lie about 25 Words Or Less proves it well

I don't think this was deliberate, the network executives have egg all over their faces on this one. FOX may have given the idea the thumbs down when signing on for an additional two years so the producers pulled out of the Buzzr deal. FOX has been doing some business with GSN (wasn't Common Knowledge on FOX during the summer), so that relationship may have been a factor.

Beginning on August 3, Common Knowledge, distributed by Sony Pictures TV, will air on Fox stations in eight markets including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Phoenix, Tampa, Minneapolis, Orlando and Austin.

“This is the first time we have done a summer test, and we look forward seeing Joey Fatone host Common Knowledge on the Fox Television stations this August,” said John Weiser, president, First Run Television, SPT.

Common Knowledge, which premiered on Game Show Network on January 14, 2019, is a game show that asks those practical, everyday questions that, in theory, everyone should know. Hosted by Fatone, Common Knowledge features two teams of three players consisting of friends, family and/or colleagues who compete to answer multiple-choice questions in three rounds of play. Common Knowledge has aired on a handful of affiliates (not even a double digit number), but what I said about it not airing on FOX remains correct. Shows like The Big Bang Theory, Mike and Molly, and The Andy Griffith Show air on my local affiliate of FOX. That does not mean they are FOX shows... And it has not been broadcast syndicated nationally either, the only network Common Knowledge has aired on everywhere is GSN.
