I'm just interested so tell me what state you live in and what age you have to be before you can -

*drive
*get married
*drink

In Scotland you can drive at 17, you can get married at 16 (with your parents permission - if you don't have their permission you have to wait till you're 18), and you can drink at 18.

Well as far as I know...

Drinking age is 21 (it varied from state to state for a while, but now the age is the same across the country.)

Driving age varies in some states. But in New Jersey, it was 17 when I got my license. That was some time ago, so I don't know if it has changed.

Marriage....I think it has something to do with the age of consent laws in different states, unless of course you're Elvis Presley or R. Kelly.

I live in Michigan. the drinking age is 21. It used to be 18 though.
As far as driving goes, they passed a law a few years ago where you get a restricted license at 16. That means you can't be on the road between 10pm and 5am I believe without an adult present. Once you turn 17 you can stay out whenever you want. You are also allowed now to start drivers training at 14 yrs and 9 months where before you had to be at least 15.
Marriage I believe is 18. I f you are 16 or 17 you have to have your parents consent.

california here I come...that's where I live, california. not nancyland.

driving-you can drive when you're 15 with a parent. (you have a permit) when you're 15 you can transport passangers with a parent or guardian with you from like 5 am-5 pm. and when you're 16 1/2 you can drive all by yourself and everything!

marriage-18 years old. unless like a parent consents to it, i think. yeah, i'm pretty sure.

drinking-21.

Drinking - 21
Smoking - 18
Driving - 15 permit.. you can get your restricted after 3 months if you took an official drivers ed course (the kinda ya gotta pay 300 bucks for) if you don't take the course, you wait till your 16 to have your restricted.. then it turns into regular license at age 17
Marriage- 18 w/ out paretn consent.. not sure the age w/ parent consent

*get married- 16 with parental consent, but I think its 18 w/o
*drink-21, but any age does it anyway

Drinking - 21. But I think you can buy wine coolers at 18, but I'm not sure.
Smoking - 18. But our town has a ban from smoking in all public places, so it's going down.
Driving. Ya get your permit at 15 and you can drive all by yourself the day you turn 16! :D

Wow, I wasn't aware of the 16 thing---guess I need to brush up on these KY laws of ours...

Actually I never knew about a legal marryin' age anyway, but I guess now I do, lol.
