Of course the news channels had a very good year but steady declines for lots of channels particularly the kids channels. How can channels like Bein Sports even stay on air with a rating of only 5k? https://variety.com/2020/tv/news/network-ratings-2020-top-channels-fox-news-cnn-msnbc-cbs-1234866801/

Thanks so much for this link. Yeah, it's crazy that cable channels with 3,000 or 5,000 viewers can even survive.

I'm kinda shocked by Ion's relatively big ratings: 1.2 million vs The CW's .8 million.

Does this not answer the question of why ME rarely changes their schedule? The 25th ranked network, up 7%.

Ratings for the subchannels I recognize, with average primetime audience in thousands and the percent change over last year:

25. MeTV 768 +7%
45. Grit 398 +6
58. Bounce 280 +1
74. Heroes & Icons 208 +6
79. Laff 191 -14
82. Cozi 166 +11
83. Start 163 +42
85. Court TV Mystery 146 -5
98. Charge! 102 n.a.
106. Comet 87 +13
130. TBD 39 n.a.

Antenna TV remains unrated, along with GetTV, This TV, Decades.

Also didn't see Buzzr, the one I'm most likely to watch.

I wonder what the ratings have to be before METV can start turning down the Joe Nameth medicare commercials, and the Tom Selleck reverse mortgage adds?

MeTV continues to beat TV Land and Nick. And what excuse can the deep thinkers use for that deplorable channel (Nick)? 32% loss? Guys, pull some old tapes and see what your channel looked like 20-25 years ago--there's your answer! In fact, somebody show me a Viacom network that didn't lose audience.

There is a huge plunge after no. 5, and if the trends continue, Fox News could overtake Fox.

Continuing to look at the ratings, here's a question for the brilliant minds at Discovery Networks--why would you rebrand (which I think is the plan) DIY with those silly Fixer Upper people, when that network had a 21% gain? And not rebrand OWN which lost 20%? Since Destination America (the third HGTV tier) also gained, HGTV (another already-winning high rated net) seems to be a winning formula.

Looking at 18-49, the future looks bleak--that's all going to streaming, it appears.

Most watched in my house:

1) Me-TV
2) Decades
3) Antenna-TV
4) Create
5) Cozi
6) Heroes & Icons
7) Movies!
8) Buzzr
9) Comet

(I used to watch get-TV a lot when it was classic Columbia movies and variety shows - they ruined it -- someone needs to take over classic variety shows - there were none this holiday season and I missed Andy, Judy, Bing, et al)

Get TV--oh yeah, what a great schedule now. A lot of stuff you can't get elsewhere lol.

I don't even find them on the list of 150. They must be a cheap buy for a main channel--same with Dabl, which I don't find, either.
