Finally, things are looking up
Chocolate Pepsi? Brand announces 'Cocoa' Cola flavor
The drink not only contains cocoa flavor but a hint of marshmallow, too.

Hawkee 12-19-2020, 04:16 AM There's gonna be Chocolate Pepsi? What a surprise because people like myself love chocolate and from what I imagine it to taste like it will possibly taste like Yoo-Hoo or an chocolate Ensure shake. I also wonder if this is Pepsi's new holiday soda for 2020? Because around the holidays Pepsi always has a habit of introducing new sodas like their Holiday Spice Pepsi and many others. If Chocolate Pepsi is a big seller i'm sure that they will begin selling year round after Christmas

Bonniegirl 12-19-2020, 04:27 AM NO !! Vanilla coke is better !!!:happyface:cool::D
80sTrivia 12-19-2020, 11:50 AM This just doesn't sound appealing to me, although I enjoy chocolate and Pepsi, separately, that is!

The orange vanilla coke is really good.
OH Nuts! 12-19-2020, 01:41 PM All of this sounds kind of yucky to me - I don’t even care for Cherry Coke.
Just give me my Coke Zero straight up please. Or a straight up Diet Dr. Pepper or diet Hires Root Beer. (In my order of preference.)
AMackII 12-19-2020, 02:15 PM Definitely not looking forward to drink Pepsi’s Cocoa Cola

I agree. I definitely like Coke Zero far more than Diet Pepsi. All the flavored colas, regardless of brand, sound truly yucky to me.

Never seen Virgil’s - is it sugar free, cause that’s all I drink.
I’ve tried the Zevia brands and don’t care for them.

Bonniegirl 12-19-2020, 10:13 PM In.an old movie that Michael Lembeck is in " A summer without boys" he was SO CUTE in this !!:) But back to the point of my post ! :DThis movie took place in the 1940's , there was a scene in a diner/ lunch counter that they ordered " Chocolate sodas" ! The scene changed and they never actually showed the chocolate sodas ! I'm thinking they were like chocolate sundaes ? Ice cream floats or something ? Not actually chocolate soda? !;)
Makes me hungry for a vanilla icecream with rootbeer float !! YUMMY ! :happyface I'm not really a chocolate fan !;)

Yeah, mostly a soda in name only. Here’s one recipe with the ingredients and directions to make some....
Ingredients
1/2 cup chocolate syrup, such as Fox's U-Bet Chocolate Syrup
8 scoops French vanilla ice cream
2 cups cold club soda
Whipped cream, for garnish
Maraschino cherries, for garnish
Directions
In four 16-ounce glasses, squirt 1 tablespoon of the chocolate syrup in the bottom of the glasses. Scoop out 2 scoops of ice cream in each and top with another tablespoon of the chocolate syrup. Fill each glass with club soda, and top with whipped cream and a cherry.

I haven't been able to find any for months. Finally, about two weeks ago, I bought some at Walgreens. I read there is an aluminum can shortage so Coke is only producing the most popular flavors.
I bought vanilla Coke in plastic bottles (20-ounces).
So I poured the first vanilla Coke since probably July. I instantly noticed the difference between it and regular Coke. The vanilla flavor is just right; enough to be easily noticed but not overwhelming.
As someone said, it's almost like a vanilla float without it being a vanilla float.
I stocked up on the bottles because I don't know if they will be restocked. I have 11.
I'll try it just to see what it tastes like. I'm a diet coke drinker and very seldom drink Pepsi.

Same with me ! I love my Diet Coke ! :)If a store or restaurant only had Diet Pepsi , I will settle for it, but it really isn't nearly as good as Diet Coke IMO !;)

YUMMY !! That sounds delicious!! I wonder why " Soda shops" Ice cream Sundaes, floats ,banana splits etc went out of fashion ? Seems like about by the 70's they were going by the wayside? Is that correct ?

I just noticed the recipe I cut and pasted used vanilla ice cream. So I guess the proper term is ‘ice cream soda’ and it doesn’t necessarily have to be chocolate.

Yeah, I always heard them called " Ice cream sodas" till " A summer without boys " when they called them " Chocolate sodas" ! Could be they were made with chocolate icecream ? That's kind of overkill though IMO !! Too much chocolate with the syrup being chocolate too !! :eek:The vanilla or French vanilla icecream would be perfect ,but than I'm not really a chocolate lover !! ;)

This basically sounds like an egg cream (unless I’m missing something)

Yup, the ice cream flavor used is up to the individual

An egg cream has no ice cream
An egg cream is a cold beverage consisting of milk, carbonated water, and flavored syrup (typically chocolate or vanilla). Despite the name, the drink contains neither eggs nor cream.
