Was it around the time that The College Years and/or The New Class started? Doug Walker AKA The Nostalgia Critic (https://thatguywiththeglasses.fandom.com/wiki/Saved_By_the_Bell) joked that even though Saved by the Bell was for the most part, on the air during the '90s, it always looked and felt like it was at least five years out of style (https://www.usmagazine.com/stylish/news/saved-by-the-bell-new-cast-critiques-the-original-casts-style/). To put it in another way, even though it was technically defined as a "'90s show", you would be blameless if you thought that it was made entirely in the '80s (https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/saved-by-the-bell-80s-fashion-style). In fairness, the show did premiere in 1989 and '80s pop culture seemed to be hung over (https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/UnintentionalPeriodPiece/TheNineties) until about the mid-'90s.
