Underwood is set to reprise his role as attorney Jonathan Rollins (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAXa0wzwVKs) from NBC's Emmy-winning 1986-1994 hit legal drama that Steven Bochco created with Terry Louise Fisher. Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow co-creator Marc Guggenheim is writing the sequel series with fellow Arrow/Legends writer Ubah Mohamed, with director Anthony Hemingway on board as an executive producer. In the reboot, "the venerable law firm of McKenzie Brackman reinvents itself as a litigation firm specializing in only the most high-profile, boundary-pushing and incendiary cases," according to Deadline. "Underwood reprises his role as Rollins, who has gone from idealistic to more conservative as he clashes with millennial JJ Freeman to decide the best path forward for the firm to effect political and legal change. While the focus will be on the new generation of lawyers at the firm working with Rollins, I hear other original cast members will likely make appearances should the project go to series." Steven Bochco's son, Jesse Bochco, and his widow Dayna Bochco played a key role in putting the sequel series together via Steven Bochco Productions. L.A. Law won 15 Emmys throughout its eight-season run, including four Outstanding Drama Series.

During a TCA virtual panel for another Disney reboot of a Steven Bochco series, the upcoming Disney+ comedy "Doogie Kamealoha M.D.", his son, director/producer Jesse Bochco sounded optimistic about "L.A. Law‘s" chances.
“We are working with brilliant, brilliant people and I think we’re going to get it to the world,” he said.

“We have a fantastic director-producer in Anthony Hemingway and a marvelous writer, Marc Guggenheim, who came to us on LA Law,” Dayna Bochco, Steven’s widow, added. “The amount of respect and knowledge, in this case Marc Guggenheim could actually name the number of the episode… We’ve been very privileged, very lucky, and I just know Steven’s looking down on us going, ‘go kids, get it done.'”

JamesG 10-18-2021, 09:59 PM Corbin Bernsen Joins ABC's "L.A. Law" Revival Pilot
by Nellie Andreeva
Oct. 18, 2021
Corbin Bernsen is set as a lead opposite Blair Underwood in "L.A. Law", a new incarnation of the iconic Steven Bochco legal drama that was officially picked up to pilot by ABC earlier this month.
Underwood and Bernsen, reprising their roles as Jonathan Rollins and Arnie Becker, are believed to be the only original cast members who are series regulars in the sequel pilot. (More are expected to make guest-starring appearances on the potential series.)
“I’ve often thought about revisiting LA Law and Arnie Becker over the years,” said Bernsen. “Now seems the perfect moment in time to explore our fast-changing world through Becker’s eyes. Fasten your seatbelts.”

Jamey Greek 12-13-2021, 12:06 AM I am a little leery on this reboot. Since Steven, David E. Kelley, nor Bill Finklestein are workibg on it.
ABC's L.A. Law reboot adds Toks Olagundoye, Hari Nef and Ian Duff (https://deadline.com/2022/01/la-law-toks-olagundoye-hari-nef-ian-duff-cast-abc-revival-pilot-1234914962/)
They'll join Blair Underwood and Corbin Bernsen as brand-new characters in ABC's reboot of the classic NBC legal drama.
L.A. Law adds John Harlan Kim (https://variety.com/2022/tv/news/la-law-sequel-series-pilot-abc-cast-john-harlan-kim-exclusive-1235171653/)
The 9-1-1 and Nancy Drew vet has joined the ABC revival series as a “shark-in-training” whose ambition sometimes gets ahead of his ethical standards.
Juliana Harkavy tapped to star in ABC's L.A. Law revival pilot (https://deadline.com/2022/02/l-a-law-juliana-harkavy-abc-revival-pilot-1234958266/)
The Arrow alum will play a savvy attorney and “legal bada**” who is pitted against Hari Nef's character "in an unexpectedly controversial case that makes headlines," per Deadline. "Their courtroom battle is complicated by the fact that they used to be lovers."
Jill Eikenberry to reprise her L.A. Law role as a guest-star on ABC's reboot pilot (https://deadline.com/2022/03/l-a-law-jill-eikenberry-guest-star-abc-revival-pilot-reprising-ann-kelsey-role-1234976032/)
She'll return to her role as Ann Kelsey, who starred on all eight seasons of the original series as Kelsey, associate/partner in the firm. On the ABC reboot, Kelsey is now a judge.
Jamey Greek 03-14-2022, 11:28 PM What's more Jason Brackman from LA Law: The Movie will return on the pilot. With the possibility of recurring.

JamesG 05-13-2022, 08:28 PM "L.A. Law" Sequel not Going Forward at ABC, Pilot is Being Shopped
by Nellie Andreeva
May 13, 2022
ABC’s "L.A. Law" is not moving forward at the network. ABC has passed on the pilot, headlined by Blair Underwood, reprising his role as attorney Jonathan Rollins in addition to executive producing.
There are no plans for the project to be reworked at ABC, but I hear the finished pilot is being shopped to other outlets.

Jamey Greek 05-14-2022, 02:48 PM I am disappointed[/U]d yet relieved. LA Law would not be the same without the involvement of Steven Bochco, David E. Kelley, or Bill Finklestein. I hope we get to see this pilot along with the 2017 pilot
