Jason Biggs to Host Game Show "Cherries Wild" for Fox & Pepsi
by Peter White
December 16, 2020

Fox has teamed up with Pepsi to order a new game show hosted by Jason Biggs. The American Pie actor will host "Cherries Wild", a trivia game that is a collaboration with the soft drinks brand.

Deadline understands a pilot was filmed recently at Television City.

The half-hour show, which will launch at 7 p.m. Sunday, February 14, was created by "Beat Shazam" co-creator Wes Kauble. It features two rounds of pop culture trivia gameplay – during which a team of two contestants will try and “Solve the Slots” in hopes of getting one step closer to winning the $250,000 jackpot.

At the end of each episode, when they spin the reels on the enormous slot machine, contestants will attempt to capture all five Wild Cherries to win the ultimate prize.

This is probably the first ever game show that's gonna be based on a soft drink which in this case it's Pepsi and with Pepsi a hugely popular drink you know that it will sure be a winner with everyone. And when Cherries Wild debuts Valentine's Day of 2021 I think FOX will finally have a miracle game show that will get them good ratings and with Pepsi sponsoring it you can tell that this will be the start of a new commercial deal with Jason Biggs as the new spokesman

I happened to see parts of Cherries Wild on Youtube yesterday and it seems that this show is a ripoff of The Joker's Wild with the Pepsi name attached and I don't know how on earth this game show made it to the air. Everything about this show seems like a Pepsi commercial with a game show attached to it and you can tell that Pepsi put a lot of effort into this show by making everything Pepsi in it and even the contestant podiums are shaped like Pepsi cans. I mean what are we doing watching a game show or researching Pepsi commercials?. The host Jason Biggs is just mainly hosting the show so that he can become a big crush type of game show host for young girls but Cherries Wild is not a game show that Jason Biggs can do and someone like Tom Holland or Josh Gad would've been better choices to host Cherries Wild than Jason Biggs. I don't think Cherries Wild will survive and I predict it will be cancelled soon enough because it's a weak game show

Hi, Bestie! Thank you for the heads up about this lame game show! I don't want to watch a Pepsi commercial disguised as a game show. It sounds like someone figured out how to have a game show paid for by someone else that they could also sell commercial time on.
