View Full Version : Jenny O’Hara in two other roles
I’ve seen a few “Jenny O’Hara in.....” threads around here, but I have NOT seen the two most important ones.
Jenny as a judge in Valerie Bertinelli’s movie A Case For Life (1996)

And an episode of Valerie’s Hot In Cleveland (I’m not sure if they had scenes together in that one or if Jenny just worked with Betty White. I’d have to rewatch to double check)

80s Dude 12-11-2020, 03:04 PM About 95% of actors would kill for the career Jenny O'Hara had. She may have never been a star, but steady work over several decades is something most actors just don't get.
RetroGuy2000 12-11-2020, 04:09 PM I bet Jenny can act the hell out of a judge role!
irehtman 12-11-2020, 04:43 PM That's another current cranky old actress, just like Rhea Perlman, Beth Grant and Fortune Feister.
RaisedByTV 12-12-2020, 11:37 AM I recognized her from the Mindy Project, where she plays best friends with Rhea Perlman
1960'sTVfan 12-12-2020, 12:35 PM There's an episode of Barnaby Jones titled Final Ransom where Jenny O'Hara is a guest star. Great episode, everyone should check it out.

I don't think I've ever watched any episode of Barnaby Jones... ever.

That's too bad because you're missing out on some good stuff. Not every episode is great but overall it's a good series. The complete series was released on DVD but it's flawed because most of the episodes are the edited for syndication versions and there's about four minutes of footage that's been edited out from each of these syndicated versions. It's a bummer but it is what it is.

Thanks for the recommendation... and the caveat. Always looking for new (well, new to me) shows.

True, but they both also play best friends with Beth Grant along the way.
JamesG 12-21-2020, 07:09 PM She recently had a small role in the HBO “Perry Mason” reboot.

Was she a judge there, too?

Owner of a boarding house. Appeared in 2 of the 8 eps.

Thank you! I looked up Beth Grant, who played the sarcastic receptionist, who I did love. I never knew of her prior to the Mindy Project, but she has quite a resume.
