I have noticed that ever since it debuted in March then got moved to Disney+ due to the Coronavirus that Onward has become an underrated Disney/Pixar movie. And what's shocking about this is that there seems to be little trace of Onward merchandise and the only merchandise I've seen of Onward are toys and plush versions of Ian and Barley Lightfoot and so it tells me that Onward didn't get the promotion it deserved because there was so little merchandise for Onward. And with Christmas coming soon Disney did not release an Onward ornament and no wrapping paper featuring Onward has been found. All this makes me think that Onward got the same treatment as The Good Dinosaur did. I just hope Soul does get more promotion a lot

Hi, Bestie. I blame the Corona shut downs for it. I predict that in a few years, Onward will be a movie that lots of people will rent and buy. It a great movie with great characters. Do you agree?
PS I think the movie "Soul" will get the same treatment?

I think the main reason why Onward became an underrated movie is that Disney had hoped it would be a hit but I think it will become more popular as time goes by because had it been released in 2019 Onward would've become popular by then. I also feel that Disney/Pixar recycled characters from previous movies instead of creating new and original designs for the Onward characters. Because if you look at Ian Lightfoot he is just Alfredo Linguini colored blue with elf ears and I think Barley is a elf version of Chris Pratt but with all that aside I think Disney just gave Onward the same treatment that The Good Dinosaur had hoping it would be another successful movie like Toy Story was
