Originally, the theme song for the show was to be "Shake Me Loose", but for some reason ABC rejected it and used a cover version of Billy Joel's "My Life" for the opening; and used an instrumental version of "Shake Me Loose" for the closing credits. Then, in 1982 (when the show became syndicated) they made a vocal version of "Shake Me Loose" for the opening credits; they would also use the theme during its cable re-runs.
