Who the heck makes these things up?

View Full Version : A chicken and a sun allergy? Tankeryanker 12-07-2020, 08:30 PM Who the heck makes these things up? Torgo 12-07-2020, 09:09 PM They're both real things. People with sun allergies can break out in rashes if exposed to the sun too long. And chicken allergies, not sure why that seems unbelievable, there are allergies towards probably every type of food out there. Some people have multiple allergies. Tankeryanker 12-07-2020, 09:24 PM ^^^^ It seemed a little far fetched for Wally to have to endure. GentlemanJim 12-08-2020, 01:06 AM ^^^^ It seemed a little far fetched for Wally to have to endure. I had a friend once who was allergic to his own sweat. Sounds like a concocted excuse to avoid hard work, doesn't it? But there was a perfect storm of events that would collide that included his natural sweat, normal bacteria found on the surface of most people's skin, dust in the air, and heat/humidity,......and he would break out Bonniegirl 12-08-2020, 03:02 AM ^^^^ It seemed a little far fetched for Wally to have to endure. Yeah I see what you mean! Back in those days for a person to know they not only have one but two specific strange allergies wasn't very common ! You didn't hear about that back than! People got sick or didn't feel well but things weren't specifically diagnosed as to why like they are in more recent years ! ;) Scrabjan1 12-08-2020, 10:09 AM Like kids and peanut allergies. Back in the day all kids ate PB & J sandwiches but I’m sure mothers found out to their horror their kid was allergic. Some kids couldn’t breathe. I thought Ginny was a riot talking about her sun allergy, going into the municipal pool and getting big lumps all over. Bonniegirl 12-08-2020, 11:21 AM Like kids and peanut allergies. I thought she was funny too ! :D I liked that episode ! ;) Torgo 12-08-2020, 12:01 PM Maybe back then it was farfetched, but definitely can relate to Wally in that episode, and Box Office Girl, really liking a girl from afar, but then when actually getting to know them you learn they aren't what you expected. Agreed, but for me, the allergies were a little silly, and then was Wally shallow for not seeing her anymore for things/flaws she could not help? Yes, definitely stevea 12-08-2020, 01:36 PM Agreed, but for me, the allergies were a little silly, and then was Wally shallow for not seeing her anymore for things/flaws she could not help? Maybe Ginny was a hypochondriac. As far as Wally goes he could have dated her a few more times, but he made it clear the W&J that wasn't gonna happen. Tankeryanker 12-08-2020, 01:44 PM ^^^ June was not down for grandkids that had such flaws. It would be bad enough for one of them to have something you could not prevent, but to pair up with someone who you knew had such flaws and could pass them on, well... stevea 12-08-2020, 01:46 PM You're right, June would not have it. She probably went to her single bed and cried because she set them up in the first place. Tankeryanker 12-08-2020, 01:59 PM You're right, June would not have it. Pink frilly everything and nails were done by the time they were three. |
