Merry24 12-05-2020, 01:24 AM What Christmas Commercial was your favorite that you wish they would bring back?! Edward216 12-05-2020, 05:41 AM One for Norelco razors (I think it was Norelco anyways). With a puppet Santa riding on a razor head through the snow. The Santa in the commercial resembled the stop motion puppets from the Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer TV special. Ed. Ed.yes, it was Norelco I remember a the end would show it spelled "NOELCO" and the announcer would say "NORELCO. Even our name says Merry Christmas." When I first saw that commercial years ago I thought the companys name really was NOELCO.LOL merlinjones 12-07-2020, 07:55 PM Another vote for Norelco (''Noelco''). I always liked the Frito Lay holiday jingle from the early 70's: Ruffles and Doritos Fritos and Cheetos and Laaaaaaaaaaaays brand Pick up a holday snack today At your Frito Lay holiday display Fallon97 12-08-2020, 06:55 PM Does anyone else find themselves watching the 70's and 80's Christmas commercial compilation on YouTube? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4q30XrLNkKw&t=1020s Yes. Why can't people leave well enough alone? Merry24 12-08-2020, 10:17 PM I agree Stevea! We love our traditions! SledgeBarone 12-09-2020, 03:07 PM Budweiser Clydesdales (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCHYe_BzFh8) Miller High Life (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ELXlC81I58) Thanks for posting these! I actually liked the Miller commercial better, mainly because of the "I'll Be Home for Christmas" melancholy instrumental, but I could only recall the Budweiser ones since their Clydesdales were more famous. After the fallout, they did decide to run both commercials this year and for the first time since they announced that, I did see my old favorite last night. I held my breath at the time when it would have been interrupted, but it was the original :) CJ 12-11-2020, 05:57 PM That Hershey's kisses We Wish You... ad is back this year, but they had to ruin one version of it by adding the live action. I had seen the original earlier in the season. cnnbcbs 12-11-2020, 07:12 PM That's mine too. Also, The coke, 'santa cans are coming, Santa cans are coming.' cnnbcbs 12-11-2020, 07:14 PM I haven't seen the Campbell's Soup 'Snowman boy's ad lately. They ran that one for decades. |
