I thought it was weird that they replaced the actress in the first place, although I do like Second Carol more (and it feels weird to say that. I almost always prefer the original cast over later replacements).

I inflicted no pain on myself, rest assured, Opus. The girl who was replaced was Jennifer, who appeared in the backdoor pilot only, and who had no more than four or five lines. She had absolutely no personality, and was quickly replaced.

In the series, the pilot-only characters of Jennifer and Laura were replaced by Natalie and Cindy, so they both must be used to being replaced by now. (Jennifer and Laura had no distinguishing attributes other than Laura having a pet frog.)

Barbara had an interesting personality. I could see her interacting with the Eastland girls. That could have been a fun episode.
