On a magazine in the episode JJ in Trouble:lol:

JJ is reading a Ebony Magazine and the Cast of the Jeffersons is on the front cover. This is the January 1976 Issue of Ebony Magazine and this episode was made on January 22, 1976, the same month.

Cool find! I never noticed that. This is a coincidence. So what does this mean then? Did the family know about George and Weezy Jefferson?

Yes, really awesome. I’m just trying to figure out what is J.J. doing reading the January 1976 issue of Ebony Magazine with George and Weezy on the cover. Maybe George and Weezy were substitutes for James and Florida lol

Maybe Norman Lear was indirectly promoting one of his other shows lol

The only TV shows I recall the Evans mentioning was

Donny and Marie
Sonny and Cher
Waltons
Sanford and Son

Never mentioned the Jeffersons

Maybe remember when Good Times made a reference to Sanford & Son I’m surprised they didn’t make a reference to ODAAT.

Yeah, that seems too much a coincidence! I think Norman Lear knew about George & Weezy on that Ebony cover and got the idea for JJ to he reading it on a Good Times ep. in hopes of viewers maybe noticing ! ;)
