Two episodes in and I got to say the show is still entertaining. I love that they're not bringing covid into the stories. It's so nice having a show to watch to get away of the things going on in the world. I'm also surprise with how they're able to hug guest stars and have Bonnie and Adam in bed. It's like the good old days before covid

What does everyone think of season 8 so far? If it stays like the first two episodes, I think it will be a good season.

Though Anna Faris' departure has been a big loss to Mom, the show has not yet jumped the shark. Mom has become a true ensemble comedy anchored by Allison Janney and there is no sign of decline.

I agree, it’s still good. Thankfully it has a great supporting cast and wasn’t revolving around any certain character 100%

The season has been good. I miss Christy, but I will keep watching for sure. The girls still have good chemistry.

the name of the show "Mom" could refer to Bonnie, right?

Yeah it could but her daughters not on. Unless they’re referring to the fact she is a mom, then Marjory would be too.

If they called it "Moms", sure. But it's called Mom. Singular, not plural.

I think it has more to do with Kristy and Bonnie then with all moms in general.

Cougar Town often made fun at its name. The first half of season 1 was about Courteney's character dating younger guys. Then it quickly shifted to her romance with a guy around her age. As long as the show is worth watching, I don't care if the premise relates to the title. They just need the right cast and writing to make a show work for its audience.
