as the Next Generation? I thought those UFO's that turned out to be giant aliens were very awesome, and the special effects behind them in Encounter at Farpoint made them look cool. So far I've seen the pilot episodes to Discovery, Voyager, Deep Space Nine, Enterprise, and Picard and didn't think they were quite as good.

Discovery is cool, and I'm looking forward to catching up on the reruns now that I'm finally able to watch them. Some of the special effects remind me of Star Wars like when I'll see a ship suddenly appear out of warp.
