In 2000 Mountain Dew launched a commercial as part of their Do The Dew advertising slogan and I wonder if Queen and the Freddie Mercury estate got some money from the use of one of their songs in the commercial. When the commercial begins we see guys singing the bridge to Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody but with the words Mountain Dew instead of the regular words and then instead of the word Galileo they sing the word fantastico then the scene changes to the guys skiing and doing extreme sports while trying to catch a bottle of Mountain Dew then the guitar solo plays and the guys finally get their Mountain Dew bottles and drink them. The end scene is then shown with fireworks with the words Do The Dew in it. This commercial was very popular in 2000 and after seeing this commercial it's no secret that Queen's songs are used in commercials such as I Want It All being featured in a Grubhub commercial. I wonder why Mountain Dew doesn't make cool commercials like this today?
