Amid the ABC medical drama portraying the effects of coronavirus on screen (https://tvline.com/2020/11/09/the-good-doctor-recap-season-4-episode-2-melendez-nurse-dies/), Schiff, who plays hospital president Dr. Aaron Glassman, announced on Twitter he and his wife Sheila Kelley -- who recurs on the show as his spouse -- have both tested positive. "On Election Day I tested positive for Covid-19," he tweeted (https://twitter.com/Richard_Schiff/status/1326282628765376513) Tuesday afternoon. "This has been the most bizarre week of our lives. @thesheilakelley is also positive. This is tough. We are determined to find a way to health again. We root for everyone out there who are struggling with this thing. Love from here." On Instagram, Kelley added (https://www.instagram.com/p/CHbQiGEB4J_/): "We‘re quarantined in our home in Vancouver, recovering. This virus is a slippery sucker. One minute you feel almost fine and the next you can’t catch your breath. Symptoms change radically daily even hourly." It's not clear how their diagnoses will affect production on The Good Doctor.

Richard Schiff is still in the hospital after coronavirus diagnosis, but he's "showing some improvement every day" (https://tvline.com/2020/11/10/richard-schiff-covid-19-positive-the-good-doctor-glassman/)

The Good Doctor star tweeted that while his wife, Sheila Kelley, has gone home, he is still in the hospital after testing positive on Election Day (https://www.primetimer.com/item/The-Good-Doctors-Richard-Schiff-announces-he-tested-positive-for-coronavirus-62SNZ8). "Thank you all for so much love and support. You’re making it so much easier for @thesheilakelley and me," he tweeted this morning. "I am in the hospital on Remdesivir, O2 and steroids showing some improvement every day. Sheila is home and doing better but still fairly ill. Love you all."
