Monday marked Criss' first appearance on Glee as Blaine Anderson. To mark the milestone, Criss is throwing a charity event. "Today marks the 10 year anniversary of my first appearance on Glee as Blaine Anderson in the episode 'Never Been Kissed,'" he wrote on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/p/CHY1MDPjkgx/). "And while a number of you by that point may have already been pretty familiar with me as a totally awesome boy wizard or a Disney song nerd from the internet stage, no one can deny that Glee’s world presence catapulted my life to an entirely different level, and gave my career the opportunity to carry on in the way it’s been able to for the past decade. ⁣And it all happened through a literal song and dance that I could not be more proud of and grateful for."

Darren Criss: "I’m a season ticket holder to the q**** experience" thanks to Glee (https://www.towleroad.com/2021/12/darren-criss-im-a-season-ticket-holder-to-the-queer-experience/)

“I have a lot of q**** folks that come up to me, particularly older folks, that will say how much that relationship meant to them," Criss tells The Independent (https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/features/darren-criss-glee-versace-straight-b1977894.html) of his character Blaine Anderson's Glee relationship with Chris Colfer's Kurt Hummel. "They’ll say, ‘When I was growing up, I didn’t really ever get to see that on TV’ … and then I always remind them, neither did I.” Darren explained that the on-screen romance means a lot to him, too. “As a cis straight man, I also didn’t see that," he said. "And while I have not grown up as a queer person, I’m a lifetime subscriber, man. I’m a season ticket holder to the queer experience."
