One user and I disagree about smartphones especially for the message board: https://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?t=379782

I create the poll to prove me or the other wrong.

I use both a laptop and my cellphone!:) Right now more my cell because my computer is pretty much crashed and I really need a new one! But when my computer was good and or when I get a new one , I'd say maybe I'd use the computer a little bit more? But than I am pretty mobile, not always in my house, so the cell phone posting is really good and very convenient but the computer screen is bigger of course which is a plus ! So that is why I voted both!;)

I mostly use a laptop for accessing SO, but have also used my smartphone. I would use the phone more often, but it's hard to see without a mobile app (you have to scroll a lot).

So, based on current poll results, which one of you is “winning”?

So, based on current poll results, which one of you is “winning”?Since there have been only 6 voters so far, including me and the poster who started this poll, the results can't really be considered accurate. I just checked, we have over 900 visitors at this moment. 6 is obviously a really teeny percentage of that high total. Several posters/lurkers on this site probably don't even know about the site feedback forum, or don't care to visit it.

A big advantage desktops have over laptops and phones: desktops never need charged and always remain at 100% power.

The big disadvantage about desktops is that they stay at their own places/positions most of their times, and they consume more physical space. Furthermore, with the ongoing pandemic, using a shared desktop in a public place would be riskier, even with gloves and face masks. Moreover, Windows 10 is becoming a messier OS to use, putting various devices by different manufacturers at odds with especially newer updates. Thank god I still have (unsupported) Windows 7. If I have enough time and money, then I can switch to one of iMacs. Setting up a Linux distros, to which I originally want to switch, is too much of a hassle especially for an average user.

I wasn't really referring to public places. I use my computer from the privacy of my apartment, and also use my mom's desktop when I am at my parents' house. At my apartment I have had three different computers (seems more like two as it has been the same monitor for the last two) since I moved there, all in a convenient place on top of its desk that has been there basically from the start.

Also, I hate anything touchscreen, which is why I still have a flip phone. It seems like constantly having to touch the screen would create a lot more germs than using a mouse and keyboard.

Which OS? If it's Windows 10, then which edition and version?

I am not sure what version, brand name is HP. It is probably the current Windows as I have a Microsoft account that I like playing their MSC (Microsoft Solitaire Collection).

My mom and I were talking about phones yesterday, and she said that flip phones are coming back.

I voted Computer, smartphone, tablet.

I mainly use my desktop down in the basement, but also use phone, tablet, and sometimes even my Kindle Fire. Depends on where I'm at in the house, or what I feel like using.
