Are these unedited episodes of the series? I didn't get the complete set but just seasons 1 & 2 because Amazon has a sale going where if you buy 2 dvd's from their special list, you get the third dvd free.

They only had L&S seasons 1&2 in the list for $9.99 each. I was hoping they had the 3rd season too in the list, but I threw in season 1 of MacGyver for the free one which I haven't seen since the 80's. So I paid 20 bucks for all 3.

I haven't seen L&S since i was a kid and have nice memories of watching every Tuesday nights. I just hope they're all unedited episodes and not syndication copies.

I have the complete series of Laverne & Shirley and can tell you that there are music edits but I don't believe any are syndication copies but I could be wrong.

Music edits I wouldn't mind. I'm more concerned about whole scenes being cut out. I haven't seen the series since I was a kid, so I probably wouldn't even notice if scenes were deleted anyway. But i'd like to have all uncut episodes.

Based on SitcomsOnline DVD review, it appears to be only music edits.

There are a couple of content edits; for instance, Edna's performance in O Hear the Angel's voices is completely removed (it's extent on the MeTV copies). Apparently some syndication edits were used past season 2 or so, and it's noted on the box cover copy.

Thanks for the info. I'll be sure to check the box covers when I get the future seasons. It's a shame you don't get the entire series uncut, but it's been so long since i've seen the series that I probably won't even notice anyway.

I'd still rather have nothing omitted but oh well. Hopefully whatever omissions there are don't affect the plots or anything like that.
