Svenfan1234 10-17-2020, 12:24 PM My guess is that Barney Miller, The Jeffersons, Maude, One Day at a Time, Archie Bunker's Place, Alice, Three's Company, & Johnny Carson becomes their 6-11pm primetime. It's just realistic.
merlinjones 10-17-2020, 12:30 PM Bewitched (1-5 York) in prime time or prime access - complete with fullscreen/music titles on both ends
mets82 10-17-2020, 09:26 PM My guess is that Barney Miller, The Jeffersons, Maude, One Day at a Time, Archie Bunker's Place, Alice, Three's Company, & Johnny Carson becomes their 6-11pm primetime. It's just realistic.
That's a hard pass for me.
BigManMike 10-17-2020, 09:46 PM I never said Mad About You is returning to Antenna TV's lineup in 2021. I hinted that its rights had been reacquired by Antenna TV. In fact, earlier this year, Antenna TV did acquire/reacquire the rights to five shows. The Jeffersons and One Day at a Time do start in January 2021. The other three shows are coming at sometime over the next three years (2021-2023).
The sitcomsonline blog (https://blog.sitcomsonline.com/2020/09/antenna-tv-fall-2020-schedule-with-2021.html) stated that Caroline in the City is coming in 2021, and that is indeed, one of the three shows, although I was unaware that that would be the show to debut in 2021, leaving the other two shows as doubtful for 2021. (FYI, the blog also stated that The Jeffersons and One Day at a Time would start January 1st. That is incorrect - they actually start on Monday, January 4th.)
As far as the third show hint - it originally aired on the same network and same decade (or at least partially aired in the same decade) as the other two hinted (or not so hinted) shows.
Would that third hinted show be WKRP?
stevea 10-18-2020, 06:57 AM Would that third hinted show be WKRP?
There's one show where they can keep the credit crunch--that theme is nauseating.
1960'sTVfan 10-18-2020, 10:17 AM The Joey Bishop Show must do fairly well for Antenna TV because they are still running the episodes.
Charley Knox 10-18-2020, 02:43 PM The other two "hinted" shows are not The Jeffersons and One Day at a Time. Those are not "hinted" - they are in fact returning to Antenna TV in January. They are even included in the "What are your favorite Antenna TV shows?" poll currently running on its facebook page, with the top TEN shows with the most votes being shown during “AnTENna TV's Birthday Blowout” on January 1st. And I stand corrected - I mentioned previously that The Jeffersons and One Day at a Time return January 4th. While they will return to the regular schedule that day, they could return on January 1st if they finish in the top 10 of the aforementioned poll. (The Jeffersons is currently 8th. One Day at a Time is currently 13th.)
The other two shows mentioned above are the "hinted" shows, so WKRP in Cincinnati is not the third show as it did not originally air on the same network nor in the same decade as the other two. Another hint - it will be new to Antenna TV (and I believe the digital subchannel world) and likely to create as much buzz (or lack thereof) as the other two "hinted" shows.
Can you reply with a link to the poll on Facebook?
icecream 10-18-2020, 07:56 PM I bet the third show is Blossom then, with Mad About You and Caroline in the City being the same network/decade. Blossom would be a nice pickup. Three years seems like a really wide span, when do the rights start?
BigManMike 10-18-2020, 09:35 PM I’m also curious to know if any shows they currently have will be expiring soon. Some of these shows have been on there for many years like Father Knows Best, Dennis the Menace, Hazel, I Dream of Jeannie, Bewitched, and Three’s Company.
icecream 10-18-2020, 10:42 PM I have revised my original schedule on this thread, changed some shows around and replaced Mad About You which might not be coming yet in 2021 with Caroline in the City.
stevea 10-18-2020, 10:50 PM I’m also curious to know if any shows they currently have will be expiring soon. Some of these shows have been on there for many years like Father Knows Best, Dennis the Menace, Hazel, I Dream of Jeannie, Bewitched, and Three’s Company.
Their morning/early afternoon lineup must be doing well. They haven't changed it for quite awhile (other than adding That Girl).
icecream 10-18-2020, 10:50 PM I’m also curious to know if any shows they currently have will be expiring soon. Some of these shows have been on there for many years like Father Knows Best, Dennis the Menace, Hazel, I Dream of Jeannie, Bewitched, and Three’s Company.I have wondered if Barney Miller will be expiring at the end of 2020, it went from a great 6PM weeknight slot to one hour of late night filler a week late Sunday nights at 3AM. I asked Antenna TV about it but they wouldn't give me a straight answer, just said shows get moved around and they don't have a west coast feed. When I pressed on that response saying Barney Miller had always done well, had longevity in seasons, and suddenly it was reduced to one hour a week, was it expiring or just running low on airplays? They didn't reply to that. Three's Company, Bewitched, and Jeannie keep the great hours they have always had, my guess there is Antenna will hold on to them as long as possible. I wouldn't miss Dennis the Menace if it left, Dennis can go to Me TV with its far superior counterpart Leave it to Beaver returning to Antenna after formerly airing there.
icecream 10-19-2020, 11:35 AM Caroline in the City has been edited out of my January schedule. I hope the lack of buzz comment doesn't mean it is total junk that straddled two decades like Just Shoot Me or Veronica's Closet. ALF would be nice, but that would get more buzz and it barely aired in the 90s. If it is Just Shoot Me or Veronica's Closet, what a waste. I am not opposed to 90s shows on Antenna TV, but make it something good like Boy Meets World or Blossom, or something I haven't seen but stars someone famous in Major Dad. Kirk Cameron's WB sitcom Kirk would also be good that I haven't seen, but with its limited run could only air weekends or a one off marathon. Sister, Sister also hasn't aired on any diginet, or even much on cable. It would be a nice pickup, and I know i doesn't fit the same network clue either.
merlinjones 10-19-2020, 02:04 PM I would be happy to see Bewitched, Jeannie, Gidget, and That Girl go back to Me-TV -- even better, send M*A*S*H to Antenna - it goes with the Norman Lear shows.
icecream 10-19-2020, 02:40 PM Gidget has been gone from Antenna TV for several years now, I don't think it has aired there at all since Johnny Carson came. I wouldn't mind if M*A*S*H came to Antenna TV and switched networks with timeslot rival Archie Bunker's Place. But Me TV probably has a strong grip on the M*A*S*H contract, hasn't budged from their 7PM hour in ages. That Girl is good on Antenna, I wouldn't want it being sent to Me TV since Comcast refuses to put it on my lineup. While I like Bewitched and Jeannie, have gotten to see them a bunch and wouldn't mind a trade with Me TV for Gomer Pyle and Petticoat Junction. Gomer and Petticoat having afternoon hours on Antenna where Bewitched and Jeannie have been would be awesome.
Merry24 10-19-2020, 04:57 PM According to Antenna TV Facebook The Jefferson’s has a promo out and so does One Day At A Time, and as a teaser it says One Day At A Time will be on Every Day.
Merry24 10-19-2020, 05:50 PM I would think if Shows should switch it should be..
Father Knows Best goes to Me TV.
The Donna Reed Show goes to Antenna TV.
Mchale’s Navy goes to Me TV.
Leave It To Beaver Returns to Antenna TV.
Bewitched & I Dream Of Jeannie goes to Me TV.
I Love Lucy & The Brady Bunch goes to Antenna TV.
Three’s Company & Barney Miller goes to Me TV.
Bob Newhart Shows & Mary Tyler Moore goes to Antenna.
The Partridge Family goes to Me TV.
My Three Sons goes to Antenna TV.
Maude & Archie Bunkers Place goes to Me TV.
Happy Days & Laverne & Shirley goes to Antenna TV.
Mork & Mindy goes to Me TV.
The Many Loves Of Dobbie Gillis goes to Antenna TV.
The Paul Lynde Show & Lotsa Luck go to Me TV.
The Monkee’s & Car 54, Where Are You? Comes to Antenna
Johnny Carson 70’s go to Me TV.
The Three Stooges Return to Antenna TV.
Charley Knox 10-19-2020, 10:12 PM I would be happy to see Bewitched, Jeannie, Gidget, and That Girl go back to Me-TV -- even better, send M*A*S*H to Antenna - it goes with the Norman Lear shows.
Gidget and The Monkees would be perfect for the next Summer of Me Sunday schedule.

I, too, have the same problem. ME-TV isn't available on Comcast in my area. I do get Antenna TV. I wish I got ME-TV just to see something different.
mets82 10-20-2020, 03:59 PM I would think if Shows should switch it should be..
Father Knows Best goes to Me TV.

The Three Stooges Return to Antenna TV.
Since I have Antenna TV I'd probably watch if these came to Antenna TV. Everything except The Three Stooges, The Monkees and Bob Newhart. I'd probably try Car 54 and Dobie Gillis and Donna Reed.
On side note, I don't think I'd put Laverne and Shirley on Antenna TV. I know the Happy Days connection but Laverne and Shirley has been played to death on Logo.
mikey0581 10-20-2020, 08:21 PM I would like to see Doogie Howser and Mr. Belvedere, and maybe Married With Children come back been too long.
icecream 10-20-2020, 08:33 PM Today's blog said don't go "suddenly mad" trying to guess the two shows coming later. That confirms it will be Suddenly Susan joining Mad About You at some point. Suddenly Susan I am not interested in, Kathy Griffin is a horrible person and I couldn't stand Brooke Shields on The Middle.
cnnbcbs 10-20-2020, 10:19 PM Suddenly Susan and Caroline in the City were both anchors of Must See TV Monday. Short-lived Fired Up at 8:30 and The Naked Truth at 9:30. Will and Grace premiered at 9:30 after Caroline.
Caroline was a cute and harmless filler-show. I remember the guy who had a crush on her was Richard. Caroline was supposed to be a cartoonist (like bob newhart in bob a few years prior). The actress who played her friend was real good, she still pops up on tv from time to time.
cnnbcbs 10-20-2020, 10:21 PM Never cared for Kathy Griffin, her SS character was an inferior version of Vicki Lewis' Beth on the tragically underrated and overlooked NewsRadio. Right down to the hairstyle!
icecream 10-27-2020, 01:32 AM I have tweaked my schedule, totally removing Welcome Back Kotter and What's Happening! since it looks like their rights have expired.
stevea 11-10-2020, 11:20 AM You can add The Ropers, Three's a Crowd, Webster, and What's Happening Now!! to the gone for now list.
Obviously this is your "What I Would Schedule for Antenna TV in 2021" so you're free to do whatever you want to with it, just don't expect two different shows to be scheduled in a single hour except for the single season shows such as Lotsa Luck and The Paul Lynde Show. They've tried that before resulting in disastrous ratings. Viewers have just become more accustomed to back to back episodes of a single show in an hour. Also, don't expect eras or certain seasons of shows to be split apart from a show. It's simply not economically feasible due to terms of the contracts.
I agree. When they tried this a few years ago, it was a disaster and didn't last long. I hated it.
Their current morning schedule has become habit-forming for me. I hope it's doing well as I would hate to see it changed.
icecream 11-10-2020, 05:06 PM I agree. When they tried this a few years ago, it was a disaster and didn't last long. I hated it.
I really liked that schedule that started out with the final airings of Mr. Belvedere. Unfortunately most of it was in the months I was between affiliates.
icecream 11-10-2020, 06:11 PM Too bad people don't like more variety. It is one thing for a station like LAFF that has a much smaller and limited selection of shows. But the large roster of shows on Antenna means a lot of them get screwed if they insist on the double airings. With the news 7AM-3PM is the same (too bad they can't trade badly acted Dennis for Leave it to Beaver), a revised schedule of what I would do.
Returning: The Jeffersons, One Day at a Time
Expired: Welcome Back Kotter :(, What's Happening!, What's Happening Now!, The Ropers, Three's a Crowd, Webster
On Hiatus: Becker, Dear John, NewsRadio
